Swedex Examinations
Swedex is a unique proficiency examination and documents your knowledge of Swedish as a foreign language, in Sweden and worldwide. Anyone whose mother tongue is not Swedish may take the examination, irrespective of how they have learnt Swedish. Swedex meets the standards of The Council of Europe's framework for languages (CEFR), and is approved by the government body the Swedish Institute. It has the same status as a Cambridge Examination and a Goethe Institute certificate.
An increasing number of people need a Swedex certificate to work in Sweden, or for a Swedish company. More and more employers require good language skills. Swedex is a tool that provides an impartial and objective assessment of a candidate's proficiency. A Swedex certificate is a document that proves your practical skills in Swedish when it comes to speaking, reading, listening and writing. It is the most efficient way to evaluate your knowledge of Swedish and it is also the most recognised certificate in Sweden.
A Swedex examination comprises four parts: speaking, reading comprehension, listening comprehension and writing. You can currently take the exam at three levels: A2, B1 and B2. The written part takes about two hours for A2, and three hours for B1 and B2. The oral part is done either individually or in pairs and take 15 respectively 30 minutes each.
Swedish Language Training is an official test centre for Swedex examinations in the UK. We have great experience in conducting these exams. All our courses qualify you to sit a Swedex examination. Read more about the examination here>> or download a mock exam.
